As reported by Sirened.com the Ron Paul Campaign has announced it has raised over $5 Million Dollars, mostly in small donations averaging $40.

Ron Paul’s 114 percent increase is in stark contrast to the decrease suffered by Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain. Romney’s fundraising was down 29 percent. Giuliani was down 40 percent. McCain was down 55 percent.

While this is less than I originally predicted, it’s a lot more than other people were expecting.

According to MSNBC Ron Paul has exceeded his 2nd Quarter Fundraising numbers. The Van Der Galiën Gazette is predicting that Ron Paul will have a 3Q total of appx. $3 million.

Now, I’m not that good at math, but didn’t Dr. Paul just raise 1.2 million dollars in one week? That means in the other 12.0443642 (3 months = 13.0443642 weeks) weeks of the quarter Ron Paul only raised $149,447.49/wk ($1.8M / 12.0443642).

Personally, I don’t think that’s true. I think he did considerably better that that, and he’s just waiting for the other Republican candidates to announce so the press release can say “Ron Paul Out Raises All Other Republican Candidates”
