There is absolutely no way to guarantee security. Thre will always be risk and there will always be smart people who can beat the preventative measures with new techniques and countertech, I can think of 3 ways to fool these body scanners and I’ve only thought about it for 5 minutes.

Body Scanners cause cancer and infertility! Have you ever heard of radiation? So a few people may not die from that lone “terrorist” who tries to shoot someone at an airport, but thousands, perhaps millions, will die of cancer or suffer from the ravages of chemotherapy. This is a free society. You have the privilege of being radiated and die of cancer.

Why don’t they just employ gay men to look at the women scans and lesbians to look at the male scans. That way nobody will be oogling the bodies, you have positive descrimination of sexual orientation and the job is done harmlessly.

To those so “wisely” commenting that flying is a privilege or a service and we shouldn’t fly if we are not ready to give up on one of our few rights left to dignity:

Then how come, I have to pay thousands of dollars every time I cross the ocean sitting crammed for 7-12 hours with my knees to my mouth? How would you like to pay full fare and ride a taxi cab in the trunk?
Get “out” in the world and stop watching and listening only to CNN and FOX. Just because you’ve seen/heard it on Tv/Radio, or it’s a law, doesn’t mean necessarily it is right.
We are becoming slowly but surely a communist society… (I wonder, is it maybe so contagious just because we buy to much Chinese made?)

Yes Paul ,im sure a scanner that shows a virtual image can be made that shows only the threat in great detail. An image can be produced that will get the job done that even a child could watch and understand witjout being porn.The threat can stickout on an image of a virtual body..An image that doesnt insult.An image anyone could look at ..You wouldnt even need to hide in another room to analyze. them.
